Thermal insulation: reduction of energy consumption

As we have noted previously, one of the advantages of enclosure of terraces is that helps to keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer, so will keep a stable temperature inside your home. This is called thermal insulation and is what we will cover in this week’s entry.

Thermal insulation, as mentioned above, is a material that maintains a stable temperature inside your home regardless of what the outside. But today not all homes have thermal insulation or enclosures to keep the temperature achieved by heating or cooling.

This cause excessive energy consumption, affects the environment and the family economy. Today´s consumption is a major cause of environmental degradation.

From the ecological point of view, isolation reduces emissions of gases such as CO2, as gas or coal boilers emits, thereby reducing the emission of greenhouse gases.

There are different types of materials that can be used as insulators; these materials have different thickness, density and resistance to cold or heat. You should choose one material or another according to the characteristics of the area where you are placing the roof terrace or enclosure.

Good thermal insulation reduces the electricity bill; it is beneficial to the environment and ensures the comfort of the whole family.
